Spring is officially here in Boston and that means Mother’s Day is around the corner! After lots of admin work during the slow season, I’m ready to get my hands on some gorgeous spring blooms. I’ve decided to offer a limited selection of Mother’s Day flowers to those in Jamaica Plain and the Boston area. Mother’s Day will be similar to my delivery offerings for Valentine’s Day.

For Mother’s Day, Moonflower will be offering one curated color palette with a plethora of gorgeous spring blooms. The citrus-inspired palette could include hues such as toffee, honey, cream, butter, peach, salmon, coral, tangerine, and others. It’s the perfect cheerful combo for spring. Every wrap or arrangement will be ready to gift to all the moms, aunts, grandmas, and any mama in your life.

flower selection

All wraps and arrangements will be created with the designer’s choice of fresh blooms. Some possible flower selections could include ranunculus, peonies, roses, anthurium, butterfly ranunculus, garden roses, tulips, orchids, mums, carnations, lisianthus and others. Our signature style is flower-forward designs with minimal foliage for additional texture and movement.

Choose wrapped or arranged

We are offering limited quantities of wrapped bouquets and arranged flowers for Mother’s Day. These items are only available for preorder through May 5th, 2022 at midnight EST. Orders after that during the weekend will not be accepted. Ordering is easy through our online shop and can be placed anytime between now and May 5th.

Wrapped bouquets come in one size and will come carefully packaged in tissue/kraft paper and finished with satin ribbon. All wrapped bouquets will come with flower food packets as well—follow the instructions on the label. Bouquets must be picked up on Sunday, 5/8/22 between 9am and 12pm in Jamaica Plain to ensure their quality. Bouquet stems should be promptly trimmed at a 45 degree angle after they’re gifted to the recipient and placed in cool, fresh water. To ensure the longevity of the blooms, keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Change the water daily and re-trim stems, while removing any wilted blooms.

Arranged flowers will come in 2 sizes, artfully arranged in a designer vase that complements the color palette. Moonflower uses chicken wire as a mechanic in vase arrangements for sustainability purposes, rather than traditional floral foam. Check water levels daily and carefully add water with a watering can. Water can be changed by carefully tipping the vase and gently holding back the blooms. Pull out any wilted blooms as needed. Some flowers naturally have a longer vase life than others. Vase arrangements are eligible for delivery in Jamaica Plain and the surrounding Boston area from 9am to 12noon on Sunday, May 8th. Please specify the delivery address during checkout—delivery rates vary depending on the location.
