Seattle city wedding venue

We are here for the industrial city vibes at Court in the Square—a gorgeous wedding venue in the heart of Seattle. The in-house catering team and large event space is the perfect all inclusive venue for your wedding. The light filled space is so dreamy and the exposed brick add extra character. We have some fun ideas for how to flower your wedding at Court in the Square in Seattle!

color palette ideas

We love the idea of using jewel tones for a wedding at Court in the Square. It would meld so beautifully with the brick everywhere, as well as the industrial black accents. Jewel tones are great for a fall or winter wedding to add pops of color to your wedding. We love classic jewel tones like magenta, amethyst, and ruby. But it jewel tones can really be customized to suit your preferences—so let’s get creative and pull in your favorite bold hues!

For a vibrant spring or summer wedding in the city, let’s lean into an analogous color palette of canary, coral, and peach. The end result would be a harmonious yet colorful wedding color palette. Take it to the next level by leaning into all the beautiful seasonal blooms that are available in the PNW (this is our jam.)

Lastly, here’s our take on a classic blush and white palette. We advise adding some dusty pink and terra cotta tones for dimension. A blush and white bouquet against a white dress can get lost easily. The dimensional colors of the flowers will be especially important if your wedding photographer’s editing style is bright and airy. This palette is timeless and modern. Trust your vendors when they make recommendations!

Ditch the traditional welcome sign for a sleek acrylic pedestal filled with blooms. We love this modern look, especially for a Seattle city wedding. Work with a graphic designer or calligrapher to create acrylic signage that makes sense with your wedding aesthetic. Then you will need to provide the dimensions to your florist so they can create a design that will fit inside.

Instead of traditional hanging greenery on the string lights, let’s trade it in for actual flowers! It will bring more color and unique textures to the design. Hanging flowers will create a magical space within the light filled Court in the Square. The flowers can be selected to match any palette. Your florist will know what types of blooms will work best for this installation.

Styling ideas

Linens are SO important to pulling together your wedding aesthetic and I think it’s often overlooked. Flowers can’t do all the heavy lifting—the other details make a difference! We love a neutral subtle pattern or textured linen for a classy, intentional look. If you’re not sure what linen is best for your wedding, chat with your wedding planner, designer, or florist for help! They will be able to guide you in the right direction. If you care about style, linens are definitely worth the investment.
