Mushroom-themed PNW elopement / photoshoot

As part of the Calling Creatives retreat in Seattle, our final photoshoot was in the lush forest filled with green ferns. We created bridal bouquets and a picnic set-up for the star-crossed lovers to sit. The concept was inspired by the Pacific Northwest and mushrooms. Our florist-leader, Petals by Piper, made the most incredible headpiece with locally farmed mushrooms and other foraged materials—it was epic to say the least.

The bridal bouquet was comprised of beautiful, locally sourced flowers including silene, ranunculus, butterfly ranunculus, anemones, passion vine and hellebore. I loved the neutral palette with a pop of yellow against the grey-neutral mushrooms. I love including butterfly ranunculus in any design—they add so much movement to any piece.

The picnic set-up was created in collaboration with all the florists on the retreat. It felt relaxed and effortless, perfect for a PNW elopement.
